The Canine Societies in Shropshire have all joined forces to launch Shrop-Dog, an exciting new Top Dog Compeition.  It is open to everyone and does not have to be Shropshire Residents.  Throughout 2011 entrants at each of the 7 societies' 9 shows, can accumulate points by winning classes and awards at the open and Limit Shows.  At the end of 2011 points sheets will be submitted with the highest 64 submissions getting to take part in the Grand Final to be held at the Buckatree Hall Hotel, Telford, on 11th February 2012.

The final will consist of a meal as well as the competition itself and further details will be announced nearer the time.  Entry Forms/Points sheets and more information can be found at www.shrop-dog.co.uk.  
We decided to launch this competition to not only celebrate the quality dogs competing at the Shropshire Shows, but to also promote them and encourage entries.  We hope the publicity and interaction of the societies will prove beneficial in helping get more people coming to all the shows.  2 shows have already taken place, but the next is Oswestry and District Kennel Association on 20th March.  Entries close on 19th February.
