Does anybody know of anyone doing any eye tests in the near future in the North West?  Also a specialist who will do a puppy?

Paragon Vets in Newbiggin, near Penrith. They have eye testing sessions quite often and also have an in house eye specialist Gary Lewin.  They are very good.

Mr elis (sp?) Riverbank vets Preston. (I have used him with my 15 week old boy and whilst there a lovely 6 week old litter of pups passed by with clear eyes.
Hope he does the eye test you need.

Does he not do puppies? Oh.....the pups must have been in for a different reason but I could have sworn it was a the "eye test clinic" on the monday.
He did Kai at 15 weeks old.

Hm......Will the kennel club/BVA give you a list of vets that do it? Good luck.

No idea what test it is you're after, obviously something a bit more than a standard eye test. Sheila Crispin does occasional eye clinics at Oakhill Vets in Windermere. If there's a test to be done on eyes I should have thought she'd do it :-)

Unless I am mixed up the question isn't  for an eye panelist that will carry out gonioscopy its down to the age they will carry out the test on a puppy. I do know both Stuart Ellis and Sheila Crispin have carried it out on Border collie puppies that have been around six months old at time of testing.
Edited to add I believe it is due to the size of the eye and how well the lens will fit into a younger dogs eye.(not a 100% on this though)

Hi Satincollie and yep it is for the gonioscopy.  The size of the eye is the reason, have had a youngster done once easily but cannot find any local specialists who will do it at a younger age.  Will just have to hope and pray that my new boy will be fine and wait 6 months.

Ensuring you breed from healthy dogs is not that easy when you can't do any tests for a number of months/years!
