Anybody got any recommendations as we are looking at going half term end of May and want somewhere obviously with good dog walking but also where there are dog friendly good pubs with decent food ( not just pub grub )

Hopefully we will be more successful than our attempt at going away before Chrimbo! We are NOT going to be placing an M & S order in this time !! :-D

Btw Aileen  how was the grub on New Years Day ?

Thanks
Lucy

I would suggest staying the north side of the Cleddau river.  The South will be busier as this covers the busier tourist areas of Tenby and Saundersfoot.  The north will have quieter beaches and not too far to go into the Preselis, both of which will give some lovely walks.  I think that most pubs in the area will happily accept dogs.  Sorry but can't help with recomendations for cottages, but I'm sure that you will love your visit, of course I'm biased!

The grub was wonderfull, everyone at the party commented on it. Thanks you so much. XX
My two daughters live in South Wales, one in Brynamman and one in Felinfoel. Not sure about dog wals though as one has no dog and the other one takes hers 2 mins up the road to the mountains!!! The beaches are lovely though, one at Burry port we take our girls for a leg stretch if we go for a day. Beware there are lots of sheep and ponies running on the mountains!!!!! and some trigger happy farmers (Not that I blame then really, lots of damage done by loose dogs in that area :(

hard to get somwhere that will take 3 dogs unless you pay extortionate prices... I have just booked a cottage in cornwall for Sept  where dogs go free on... welcome cottages.http://www.welcomecottages.com/sites/welcomecottages/pages/home.aspx?clickcd=29200&gclid=CNKHt_3P_aYCFYEOfAodLFF3bA

A friend from the DRA website has a place in south wales which sounds prefect! They have 2 lovely Dobes and are happy to dog sit if you want to go off for the day on your own!

It was a bit expensive but we thought it looked quite nice ! No limit on the dgs and I am sure they are going to love the big corner sofa :-D
