This is a list of centres that we use in our breed. Local vets would rarely do the test as there are only a number of centers in the UK that can carry out the test and you normally have to book in advance. Most centers only test during weekdays but you would have to ask the test center.

Thanks so much . For your very quick response. I have these addresses already. I was hoping somebody may have some details of a tester local to me, rather than a 2-3 hour drive away. I'm am based on the borders of Essex and northeast London. (but if they are the closest? looks like ill have to put the hours in) I Look forward to any other help/information anybody might have. (can't believe that there isn't one tester in London) :( bw. Jon
After visiting the vets ... she is not deaf. Thank you for all your posts .. (i know , I should have done that in the first place ) but I was just planning my choices. just in case, you can take the boy out of the scouts , but you can't take the scouts out the boy... Thank you again. Jon

I don't know why you particularly wanted her tested, or what breed she is, but an 'ordinary' vet can, at best, ascertain whether a dog can hear (sometimes they get it wrong because deaf dogs can respond to movement or vibration, for example - what did the vet do?) but they can't tell whether a dog can hear in one ear or both, which is essential knowledge if a dog is to be bred from.
