Hi Guys,
pups are now 3 1/2 weeks old and were doing well till last night I noticed my biggest girl had a sloppy poo and it was quite mucus like. This morning I noticed some of the other puppies where the same and some of the popps where just mucus. Theye are currently being fed Nature diet puppy with warm boiled colled water mixed into a porridge like consistency and they have free access to mum who tops them up after each feed. Pups where also wormed at 3 weeks with Panacur 10% for 3 days with no trouble. Just ringing my vet now as I worried and know how quickly downhill pups can go. I gave them all some probiotic goats yogart this morning to see if that would help settle them and they seem fine and happy in themselves. Not sure if the ND is agreeing with them or not? I had planned on intoducing Fish4dogs puppy next week but maybe I should stop feeding the ND and use this instead but again don't want to upset them intoducing another food when they are upset at the mo : (

What is Mum being fed on? Ideally I'd give pups what Mum is eating (assuming it's a good quality puppy food).
the same Nature Diet puppy with fish4dogs puppy

In that case I'd wait to see what the Vet says.
I'm sure some of the more experienced breeders will be along soon with some advice.
Thanks Pedlee taking them up to see vet shortly x

worms come to mind or maybe the food doesnt agree with them and is irritating thier gut..
Hi Roni wormed them last week with Panacur 10% for 3 days and all went well. I'm thinking maybe ND isn't agreeing with them but taking them to see vet for my peace of mind x

did you sort the puppies out ???
Hi Roni,
all good! Trip to the vets yesterday he seemed haoppy enough with them and gave them all a good going over. He thought that their food was possibly not aggreeing with them resulting in a mild colitis or a bug they may have picked up. They all got an antibiotic injection whICh lasts 5 days and I have to add probiotic Goats Yogurt to their food each day to replace the good bacteria and soo far so good their poos looked better today.

good news....
