our local freecycle is getting worse....often there are unwanted staff types about 12 months old....the usual "chucking out" time :( but today theres a whole litter, 8 weeks old to "get rid of"......what on earth are these people thinking of??? :( :(

What a shame Jemima won't do a programme on this type of thing. At least she would be doing some good.

Sam I dispair of this too. I took umbridge over kittens and cats being passed through on this and complained and nothing was done and no moderator got back in touch with me. Now i'm seeing requests for stud dogs and offers like yours cropping up.. Not good.. That is not what it was set up for and the Mods need to put a stop to any animals being advertised on it, full stop!!!

Our local group won't allow adds for animals and refers to local rescue sites

Couldn't agree more Polly... the general public need to see how awful this is!

I complained to a freecycle moderator in my area when a 'part wolf dog' was put up for rehoming.Stateing this was unlikely.DDA,not the place for rehoming animals etc.The reply I got was that she was a pensioner, and couldn't look up 'every breed'and didn't have the time. When I pointed out this was an irresponsible answer, misleading advertising the ad was removed.
In my area we have an specific animal rehoming freecycle site.Sooo upsetting to see so many unwanted animals, mostly either Staffie types or crossbreeds.
