Hello. Does anybody know a vets in Hampshire that hip scores using sedation as opposed to anaestetic. Thank you.

There is Marylin in Hampshire, can't find her number, someone on here will have it, very good :-)

Marilyn is no longer hip scoring.

Has she stopped completely? That is going to leave a huge hole. Must find a vet that only uses sedation.

Marilyn has the same breed as myself ...I mentioned to her that people were asking  on this website if she still did x rays. She asked me to put on that she no longer is available,this was late last year.

i do know of a couple of recommended vets but they are in the Northwest.

How far is Newbury for you?  I use Julian Slater at O Gorman Slater Maine, he's brill and uses sedation.

hi little jayne :) there was a thread on here a few months ago when maralynn stopped hip scoring and there was quite a few leads to hip scorers in dorset and some others fairly local to us, i will do a search tomorrow and see if i can find the details :) x 

There is a place in Deal, kent, Lakeview vets.  I took Ember there, they also do eye testing, heart testing and optigen all on the same day.

Not sure where you are based but I once went to the Southampton place but for me personally I wasn't impressed so the next time I went to a vets in Dorchester who sedates while doing hip and elbow scores and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.  The vet doing them actually has a keen interest and was so helpful so if you are not too far away it may be one to consider.

I am gobsmacked  that she has packed it in , used her last year around september and all was fine , she mentioned nothing about stopping, shame as i have two to be done this year.

Thanks for letting us know, will try and find alternative now.

I think she is still doing them - I know someone who has their bitch booked in with Marilyn.

Marilyn is definitely still doing the Xrays.

didnt she have to stop for awhile because she had broke her arm/rist?? ive also heard shes very good and can give a rough guid to scores.

As far as I know Maralynn is still doing the x-rays, a friend is booked in for Sunday.
