hi we are thinking of buying a pup with a over shot jaw, as anyone had a dog with this condition before and any advise would be really help full.
thanks
What breed is it and how old?

It depends on the severity of the overshot, in our breed its quite common to be either over or undershot and its allowed to some degree in the breed standard, if the overshot is not too bad it may sort itself out and line up a few months down the line.

Just to say that one of the last things to grow is the jawline so what may be over shot now may well end up correct when older(depending on its severity).
susyt are you buying her as a pet or are you hoping to show and breed from her? Does the breeder say this is usual for her line or that she has no experience of it before?

If you're buying as a pet and it's not too bad I wouldn't worry. Even if you're hoping to show, if you trust the breeder see what she says. My current puppy has gone from level to undershot to a lovely scissor bite!
