I thought we could spread the information that good breeders health test their dogs prior to breeding by creating a group (link below) providing health testing dates. I am a bit of a 'Techno Bimbo' so am getting help with the group set up.

The aim of the group is:

This group is for anyone organising a canine health testing event or wanting to find one near them. If you are organising DNA collection, eye testing or any other similar event please post details of date, venue location, what you are doing and contact details. If you are searching for health testing information please contact organisers of listed health testing off site.

I have put three documents on the FB group.
1. Lists the aims of the group
2. Links to sites like the ISDS & KC & BVA
3. Details of where and what information is needed when a health testing session is posted. (Ideally so it does not get lost in the news feed, post it in events. Do put a post on there as well so we can look for it if you have problems posting an event.

what a great idea, I planned to get my youngest dog's eyes tested but the breed held the test this year about 250 miles away...so that was out for us. Thank you for organising this!

Thank you every one for being so supportive. Please do invite your friends once all the friend invites are in and slacken off the events will become much more prominent on the group. So we need to get as many people as possible as soon as possible, (Especially since I have just read Jean Genies thread under showing about KC health checks). Lets make the media sit up and listen to us for once!

Had a nice email from the KC this morning saying they think it is a good idea and a very positive step.

Having been asked today about the group and how it works, we ask organisers to post their event on the main group page and in the events section.

People asking about health testing:- where to find testing or what testing entails etc to please post on the main group page. When an event is sent out to members you don't have to reply with a message simply click the not attending option.

We have got the KC's support for the group too and they will be linking their health website to the Facebook page.
