I have heard about a cloth that when soaked with water becomes very heavy, and can be used to flatten parts of a dogs coat just before they go in the ring. I have done a few searches and have come up with nothing. I was wondering if anyone knows either what these kind of cloths are called or where I can find one.
Many thanks

You should get one in Halfords, I have seen them...I expect there are lots of other places too...Wilkinsons?
So are these cloths just normal shammys? not ones that hold more water and are heavier than normal, specially for flattening dog coats?

Are they definitely chamois cloths or could it be the orange cloths that are very absorbable? the orange cloths hold a lot of water but don't drip so could be used to flatten a coat. What kind of dog with what kind of fur are you looking to flatten?
If it is the orange cloths, any pound shop, supermarket or car shop will have them in the car wash section.
