Same here.  Thought pups would be here.

It might be day 63, so maybe she wants a few hours into it lol.

Hope all goes well at the vets and she's just keeping you guessing.  Have you tried a little walk with her, just round the garden to give them a shift on.
- By penfold [gb] Date 05.01.11 11:16 UTC

- By toffeecrisp [gb] Date 05.01.11 14:09 UTC

Isn't this just the due date?  What's the panic to open her up?  Little contractions are just her getting them down the birth canal eh? :)
- By white lilly [gb] Date 05.01.11 15:18 UTC
yes westcoast your right :) but her waters have gone? how long can she be like this before pups come? ive always had a pup within 1h of waters breaking i think this is my worry.

xxx
- By WestCoast Date 05.01.11 15:25 UTC
I wouldn't be panicking if she's having gentle contractions and is comfortable.  You just need to see the normal progression that you've seen before.
- By white lilly [gb] Date 05.01.11 15:27 UTC
ok thankyou ill try and stop giving myself a nevus break down :(

Good luck with your girl and pups White Lilly. Have been following this thread & hope all goes smoothly for you and her.

I had a much more experienced friend helping me with my last litter. We had my girl walking around in the garden once the pushing had started, and this helped her get the first one out quick smart. We just had to make sure someone caught the pup! We had 2 of them born outside, and I'm sure helped the whelping along no end. She whelped 7 in just 2 hours.

All the best, I hope we have some good news very soon....
- By Reikiangel [gb] Date 05.01.11 16:06 UTC
Try not to worry, easier said than done i know.  Let the excitment take over instead.  Sounds like you're doing a good job.  i bet she won't be too long now for you.  You've got hours to go until its a nighttime job.

Got everything crossed for you both.  I'd try a little walk round if she'll do it.xx

Any more yet Whitelilly?  I found it helped my girl if I wandered her out to the garden if things were slowing up.  Just make sure you take a torch as one of mine were born out there 5 minutes after just having producing a puppy!

- By Reikiangel [gb] Date 06.01.11 08:02 UTC
Well done on getting those out already.  Hope the vet can sort the rest out without a section for her.

Don't how long they can go without the sac on inside, but don't worry, I'm sure they'll be as ok as those who came out without it.  Do you think they lost it at the last minute.  I wouldn't worry about the afterbirths just yet. (You can tell me all this when I'm there, lol.  When I'm in the same state).

Good luck with the rest of the whelping.  Sleep, well a nap is in sight.  Can anyone watch them for you when Mist is back whilst you have a catch up?

Nearly there. Hugs. xx
