Well I'm pretty sure it was a black & white film & I may have my facts completely muddled as I was about 10 when I watched it.
I'm pretty sure it was American, about a family who wanted to swim an ocean, from Grandpa to Grandchild, (if it was a UK film, then it would have been the channel I suppose).  They sang "I got out of bed on the right side, on the bright side" - the song is buzzing around my head, only that much of it & it would be nice to know what film it came from & the rest of the words :-D
Anyone got a clue as to which film/song I'm rambling on about?

Thank you!!!  Ester Williams, an amazing synchronized swimmer if I remember correctly!  Always wanted to do that as a child, you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to push your body out of the water without touching the bottom of a pool  :-O
