Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / snuffly pup

My lovely girl whelped 4 babies 15 days ago. All pups have tripled their weight and seem lovely healthy pups apart from one little boy who sounds really snuffly and his nose allways seems to be running. I aspirated a little this morning and seemed to clear a bit. Any advice on what this might be. Vet check is on Friday but thought i would ask beforehand in case there was anything i could do to help him. Thanks  Katie

It would depend on the breed to maybe say what's wrong.  My small breed get snuffly when they start to teeth and their nostrels become pinched, which makes it hard to assess if the nose is breed correct.

I think as long as the fluid is clear they should be ok.  A lot of vet with my breed and similar tell you they have an infection when you take them for jabs.

If you think its an infection. don't wait until Friday, maybe bring the whole visit forward if worried.
