I know there's no such thing as an average in dog breeding, but what are your experience's?
Thanks

I have toy breeds, and I have only ever had one girl pant for 48 hours, I was demented!

With the toys, my general experience is less that 24 hours.

Last bitch I whelped only had visible signs of 1st stage for 15 mins before delivery of first pup
Thankyou Jean, look's like lot's of coffee is instore tonight.. :) , I am nervous, but excited, I have my vet on standby and my mentor is there on the phone, she can't be here as she is stud owner and live's in Newcastle whilst I'm in Essex.
Finger's crossed it's tonight, will have to give them new year themed kc names.

I know it's nervous and exciting at the same time, but once pups start to arrive, I go into sensible mode, and feel glad that things have started!
Looks like you're staying up to see the New Year in then? :-) :-)

Hello All,

x

How brilliant, I've never been one for New Year's parties but would much rather stay up with a litter. So glad they all arrived safely, what New Year themed names have you got?
Hello Lucy,
Yes it was a lovely way to spend new year, she was such an angel and just did everything perfect.
I have none as of now, will defiantly have to put something to do with new year in there kc names, I will have to get my thinking cap on, but pup's have names, which are very strange, lol.
Anu, Nordi, Lyra, Anaki & Draco.
xx
wonderful news :) :)
