I'm making my own pigs in blankets (Sausage with Bacon rapped round it ) if I made aload tonight and then let them go cold then put them in the fridge would they last till Boxing day

Wouldn't last 5 minutes in my house Annie!! *slurp!*
I would've thought that would be fine, as long as they're well wrapped or in an airtight container so they don't dry out?

I'm being adventurous and doing Devils on Horseback! (Prunes wrapped in bacon) although I do remember one year a friend of mine thought they were just very charred sausages!! :-D

The secret is to only half cook them the day before so no-one can eat them, put them in the fridge, then finish them off just before you use them!  :)

Have always wanted to try those... also what are Angels on Horseback?

What if you crossed a Pig in a Blanket with an Angel or Devil, would you get a Pig on Horseback or an Angel in a Blanket? Would they give them fancy portmanteau names like Piggelbacks or Angelets or Devblankies?

Does the metaphorical horse have any metaphorical animal rights? (Pig too, if we're going to go into farming practices).

Were the metaphorical blankets as such, woven by weavers paid the minimum wage?

Can we look forward to seeing these advertised in Ecookz next year, at fancy prices?
Will it lead to global indigestion, or worse - incredible amounts going into landfill?
Can they be recycled?

*tongue in cheek*

Merry Christmas! xx

Angels on horseback = oysters wrapped in bacon .....yum, yum, double yum!!!   (Served here on using Mersea Island Oysters - although not on the menu today, sadly. )
