Or scallops with black pudding with a bloody mary dressing:-)

We are having Wholemeal Tartlets with Mushroom Filling. The pastry is made with lemon juice, Parmesan and egg yolk, no water.

all these sound fantastic but i've stopped doing starters as no one could eat all their christmas dinner and said they'd rather just have dinner and pudding. saved me a job so i'm not complaining.
hope you all have a great christmas, we're just hoping my parents can make it to our house in the snow.

Know what you were watching then the other morning bilbobaggins :)
I am looking for suggestions for a starter as I am to meet the man in my daughters life on Christmas Day, would have preferred to have a preview before now but am going with the flow! Trouble is he doesn't eat any form of fish so lots that I would have considered are a no no, especially when you add in my two's dislikes!
If it were down to me we'd have three deserts!!!! Horror of horrors he does not like cheesecake which is my daughter and my fav- his days could be numbered :)
Have a good one all.

BUSTED!! lol I was waiting for carpet fitters. A different starter, and the carpets look lovely too...not such a waste of time ;-)

We don't have anything all 7 of us like, so 5 are having potted shrimps, and 2 are having grapefruit!

Yea Yea bilbo you were waiting for the carpet fitters lol ! I confess I am a morning tv person no not sat in front of it keeps me being able to do the housework and its amazing what nice recipes you pick up.

I'm doing goats cheese and sundried tomatoes on bruschetta as a starter and then ditching the Turkey and doing a Beef Wellingtom for the main course followed by Christmas pud or Vanilla Cheesecake for pud

Decided to do something with prawns, salmon and cream cheese with salad, were having a rib roast for main, and have made a choc and orange tart for dessert.
