you will get lots of advice here, how old is your dalmation and what questions do you need answering. ask away and im sure someone will be able to help, but first you will have to join, its free.

Can you teach me too please! When we were choosing breeds, we so very nearly went for a dalmation but got put off by all the threats of in-breeding, deafness and agression. But it does't mean we won't have one in the future...because, then I'll be a millionaire. And buy a farm. And own a pack of 40 dogs. Each of a different breed that all get on and love each other. Who all trot obediently behind my horse and do as they're told. And they'll all get on with cats too. And then, when the pigs start flying, we can all live as one big, happy family...

Hi,
I had a dally called Fluke for 13 wonderful years:D My boy was strong minded and completely nurotic and I loved him to peices:)
He hated joggers, men in hats and men on bikes! It was quite ado when we met a jogger wearing a hat whilst walking:)
He was loyal and very protective of me. I lost him 7 years ago and I still miss him terrible:(
Enjoy your dally and treasure him:D

Hi, I've got dalmatians (have had for 30 years - by now I'm barking too) and will be pleased to help if I can. Try looking at www.lancedal.demon.co.uk - this is the Dalmatian Telegraph website and has quite a lot of useful info, also a list of breeders who would be glad to help. Of course the first person to ask for help would be your pup's breeder - if any good s/he'd be only too pleased!

As regards useful books, the Pet Owners Guide to the Dalmatian by Geraldine Gregory, published by Ringpress Books, is good.

Good luck - what's your pup called?
