Does anyone use the dog 'trouser suits' who can suggest whether a 22" is about the right size for a small Rough Collie bitch please? Am going to give in and buy one for my veteran girl, whose spayed coat turns her into a walking snowball in this weather!

Have measured according to instructions, but am just not very confident of my dog coat measuring skills on previous experience, and I guess these will have to be right for the dog to be comfortable.

Thanks,
M.

Hi,

I use the Hurtta all in one fleece and wetsuit...its fantastic...although the sizing is a complete nightmare to get right.

I used their own sizing chart for an American Cocker and when arrived would have fitted a miniture poodle...i rang them back and gave girth, leg an back measurements and finally got it right...although i do have to roll the legs up and will be having the suits altered as my do has lost a 1/4 of her body weight through illness.

Good luck

Country Munn do a good range of all in one suits that zip up the back. They have a website and are very helpful.

I got mine from here http://www.dapperdogsonline.com/product/103/1399/water_proof_trouser_/ I got my measurements all wrong and it was huge on my boy but they were really good and adjusted it all for me free of charge, they also made me a matching waterproof snood to keep his ears dry :)

I used mine last year in the snow, it was great.  This year ive been putting them all in their equafleece doggy jumpers, which although seem to give more freedom of movement they dont have the same protection from snowballing as the waterproof suits :)

I've got no faith in my ability to measure, I've followed those online charts and mucked it up several times. I usually buy from Country Mun, I love their coats, but I'm hoping they will be either at Boston or Manchester because I want a winter coat for the puppy and daren't buy without having her there for them to measure for me!

Thanks all - have ordered and will keep my fingers crossed that sizing is right.

I once bought a track suit type with elasticated cuffs for my little Cavvie, the problem was that he was very well endowed and during the walk every time he cocked his leg he wee'd inside the leg of the suit. Being waterproof with a cuff the wee stayed inside the leg and gradually the legs swelled up with a sloshing sound by the end of the walk, much to everyones amusement ( except me who had to wash him down when we got home ) He loved his bright red tracksuit
