Went onto FB this afternoon to find that I couldn't log into my account.  I was informed that someone with an IEP address from Birmingham had used my account - was it me?  Well I haven't a clue if my IEP address comes up as where I live or somewhere else but I ended up having to go through this rigamorole of putting in a new password, having a code sent to my email address and finally having to change my password on my e-mail account.  Having done all this I still can't access my account - it is still suspended and it just keeps going round and round.  Looking at FB help there doesn't actually seem to be a person to contact.  I hate these help pages where you can't find an answer to your problem and keep searching and searching for a real person to ask. 
Be grateful for any help please - my crops have withered by now :-(

Usually if they suspect someone accessing your account they will ask and allow you to reset your password. Even when entering the wrong password a number of times Im sure they only suspend it temporarily

I have reset my password 4 times now and each time it says account suspended and just keeps going around in a circle.

I won't go on there any more, the "going round in circles" made me realise that someone had passed a virus on to me.

No I don't have a virus I just pressed the wrong thing.  Have had a look at hubby's page and his IEP address (have I got that right?) is the same as mine was.  So I pressed the button to say that it wasn't me so that everytime I log in it is from an address that says it isn't me.  I should not have been fiddling around with my account yesterday.  There has been so much about making sure your security settings are right that I was checking.  Should have left well alone.  Now there is no way I can ask Face book anything - no contact e-mail nothing.  I keep in touch with the family - all the grandchildrens photos are on there - my family don't take ordinary photos any longer - I feel very cross.

there was a virus on fb today that tells you your account is suspended and gets you to give new passwords et. it was a scam. if youve been caught by it suggest you try and log in from a different computer and see what happes.....you may find that you havent really been suspended as this has happened to 3 other people iknow today.

Have you cleared all your cookies and temp files?

Several people have reported the same problem this morning. Keeps logging them off.

Oh really?  I have tried logging in from my husband's computer but that is the same IEP address so that is not the same thing is it?  I have changed my password several times though - and changed my password for my e-mail too.  I haven't seen anything reported - I looked on other sites and on Facebooks 'current issues' page.

Yes I have done that too.  I spent the whole afternoon and most of the evening searching for help.  The only method of contacting Facebook is to report a bug - and then it states that someone may or may not reply.

That may be the solution - my brain is so slow it has taken half an hour before it struck me - I will go to my d-i-l's and log in there - different IEP address.  Then I can go into the account settings and see if I can sort things that way.  A possible solution - feel happier now - off to walk Meg now.

I am back on.  ~Went to my d-i-l's and logged on there - it worked but I couldn't fix the IP address problem.  So I came back to my computer to find an e-mail from face-book (the reporting bug problem form) saying that if I can't access my account now can I email them back.  I had to put in yet another password and then set up the extra security that is on the site now and I am back farming!  Actually the site is an important link with my family when they are away  but the farming bit is good too - keeps you in daily touch with folks.
