Does anybody know of any good sites in the UK for getting dog boots/shoes for a little Yorkshire Terrier that are waterproof and grippy in the snow? His poor little feet freeze to death and he is a tough little dog however when i picked him up the other day, he didnt whine or complain or wiggle like usual, so i know he is really suffering :( they get all matted with snow in his pads etc

Seen a few sites, but some are so expensive however i want to ensure i can get a good fit as he is really small.... Anybody bought some before?

I don't know anywhere that makes them for small dogs, but you could try contacting Culpeppers to see if they are able to make some custom booties for you. http://www.culpeppers.co.uk/catalogue/?cat=booties. They make custom leads etc so will probably be able to make boots up as well.

Failing that you could quite easily make some fleece booties which will be fine to stop the snow balling up in his feet. Stretchy velcro is best to secure them at the top if you can get it.

When you first put them on him, he will probably not want to put his feet on the ground, but they soon get used to them. It's very funny to watch, though.

I've also tried the Pawz rubber socks things which are great but I found they tend to rip in the snow for some reason, but that was on a giant breed so they might be fine on a teeny tiny.
