Hello all,
I was wondering if you could help,i noticed my now turned 1 year old male newfie has scabs on his testicles,he has some pink wet sores there as well.I dont see him excess itching or washing the area,he sleeps on a slate floor(his choice)any ideas what it is,and what i can do,he seems happy, healthy and fine and not bothered at all by them,
thanks my lovelies

Has he sat down in the snow or on ice? If so that's your answer. Used to happen to my male dogs all the time at home in Sweden. They get burnt when it is so cold. Only thing to do is avoid them sitting down when it is cold. I used to have to stop having them sit before we crossed a road for instance as that's all it took. The skin on the testicles would eventually peel.

I was also going to say it could be something to do with the weather.

My first thought too, salt won't help either, poor boy.
