Blue sky, below freezing but no snow here in west Wight.
A good covering here in North East Wales....

A covering in Croydon but froze last night the roads are fine waiting for the next lot I think
Woke up to a good covering. Apparently it had all fallen very quickly this morn. Driving to work was horrendous - a very heavy downpour that continued for an hour or so. Is brighter now but clouds keep coming in and we get another shower. Will see what happens over the rest of the day i guess.
Im in Devon

I'm in Gloucestershire, we were forcast no snow untill tommorrow, but it has just started. It's very fine & doesn't look like it will come to much, but even so it's very slippery as it's fallen onto ice.
Be carefull everybody.
Still coming down in a blizzard here , does not look like it will let up any time soon.
Peanuts

No snow in south cumbria yet but heard there is pienty in the north of the county.

Nothing here in Bristol either

About a foot or so here at present in Aberdeenshire, we still hadn't got rid of the last lot from 3 weeks ago. Absoloutely freezing yesterday, bit better today as the wind has dropped. We have a show on Sunday - no chance!!!

Plenty here in Yeovil now. Any one know if Bristol airport is working? BIL has just left Tenerife airport...due to land about 6pm and drive to us. Not sure he will get here as we have more forcast tonight. Nice and sunny in Tenerife, his daughter (5 yrs) has never seen snow so she is hyper excited!!!!!

Clear as a whistle right now in Brighton. Has a bit last night which has frozen, roads clear.. We are expecting a dumping of it at some point tomorrow

Had a real snow storm earlier in Hemel Hempstead, Herts. Loads of traffic accidents as roads not gritted properly! Now blue skies and sunshine, we're due more snow tomorrow.
Plenty of snow here in Dorchester Dorset,
Wallington, Surrey has just been covered and roads are bad, not deep but slippy.
Have just turned back from the hairdressers and now think the anniversary dinner will be a take away!!!!
Stay safe all.

Plenty here in Yeovil now.Of flippin heck Aileen we are supposed to be coming on our few days away to Sturminster on Sunday :-( I didn't think it was supposed to start until tomorrow
I will be gutted if we can't come as was so looking forward to coming.
We are ok at the mo in West Oxon just a few flurries but freezing cold. The girls have just come back from a walk and had to have ice broken off their ears as they insisted on going for a swim as they completed froze solid as soon as they got out. My poor husband looked very cold when he got back !!

Nothing in Manchester, very cold and was icy this morning but no snow. Weather forecast seems to change all the time, one minute we are getting heavy snow, the next none at all, so don't know if it will arrive but hope it doesn't.

Loads of snow here in Powys

Oooooooooo shame for you in England......here in the Tayside area we've had nothing! :-P
*Although we still have the ice from the stuff that fell 3 weeks ago!*
About 3 inches here in Preston. It looks really festive !
> It looks really festive !
Festive is the word.... just like a Christmas card here and totally beautiful. I went out across the fields in a snowstorm with my dog (on purpose!) and loved every minute. Just the squeak and creak of the snow underfoot and the clack! clack! clack! of my dog's teeth snapping as he jumped to catch snowflakes. Tomorrow I'm planning a walk I intended to do last time it snowed - to a nearby watercourse where recently I caught a glimpse of what is probably a mink, but may have been an otter. Tracks in the snow will tell me for sure.

Just a covering this morning in West Wales. Managed to leave Swansea at about 9.00 o'clock last night as my husband had phoned to say that the snow was settling in Pembrokeshire. Just a dusting on the M4 but was like a blizard further west, but when I arrived home just before 11.00 only a dusting on the drive. Hope that we get some tonight now that we're all safe at home.

SNow started here about 8ish and is quite thick now. All my dogs are now white!

None here in Liincolnshire and none forcast!!!!!
Lea :)

about 7 inches here in Liverpool now and still snowing, its the first real snow we have had and I would really be joining the dogs who are loving it, if we weren't entered into an open show tomorrow.....not sure if we will make it!! :-(
Paula
> That sounds wonderful.... let us know the verdict.....
Will do... there are a lot of mink here, I saw one run across the road ahead when I was on the bus a few weeks ago - the jettest black you can imagine, kind of like a midnight squirrel but a bit bigger and nothing like a cat. I did ask the driver when I got off and he said he's seen a lot of mink in that place.

Lea all the websites, weather reports said that we weren't getting any at all in the next few days if at all in this area, we have a few inches now!

Yay, loads of snow here in Euxton, I was beginning to think we would miss out. About 9 - 12" inches so far, still snowing heavily and the sky looks as though there is plenty more to come.
Paula, if it's Darwen you have entered, the roads around here are chaos. We live about 5 miles from the venue and it's just taken us 60 mins to get there in the Landrover. Quite a few people seem to have abandoned their cars at the roadside.

well I am sitting here twiddling my thumbs as hubby left about 20 mins ago to rescue my son in the city centre , he has been out on the works night out ..now the trains have stopped and the buses packed in hours ago so... just had 'the phone call we knew would happen' ...dad to the rescue.... why the he** they dont leave when the weather is deteriorating ...well we were all young once I suppose....I will panic now until they arrive home....
Were in Liverpool got around 4inch or more of snow.
Roni
Well here in South Cheshire we have about 1/2 inch, if that. Snow haters should move here as we hardly ever seem to get snow. :(

Started here and about half an inch so far but coming down thick and fast. If we don't make it away we are in trouble as all our christmas food will be ready for collection at m and s in Yeovil :-(
I rarely see any snow here by the sea in Somerset but we had a good few inches yesterday and have had a couple more overnight! It looks about 6" deep on top of the birdbath......
I did check on my 89 year old Father yesterday lunchtime to make sure that he was warm and had a freezer full of ready meals, and everyone was skidding out of side roads onto the main road, which wasn't gritted or brilliant either!
Just hope that I can drive 200 miles east to daughter's next week.
I love to see it when I'm indoors but have to drive in it. :( :(

Thanks Goldiemad, yes it was Darwen show. Not going to chance it. Gutted but at least we will be safe and warm. :-)
Paula
No snow in Teesside yet, but its forecast for us for tomorrow....hubby is a HGV driver and works nights and I dont like him driving in the snow, although he loves it.
