I had to chuckle my OH has packed his brief case, packed his camera and mobile phone and proceeded by his Border Collie gone to site.

As soon as the brief case clicks Jake is up with his nose about 1" away from the office door, daring Colin to leave him in the office.

Off they go, dog to the rear door waiting patiently whilst OH puts on his seat belt, gets comfy on the back seat strapped in, window open to take the breeze and off they go.

Whilst Whistler and I sit in the office drinking tea and answering the phone.  What a life these dogs do lead.

If (like tomorrow)  OH is off on the train to London I get stuck with a huffy collie who sits under my desk and sulks. OH gets back and the dog will not even raise an eyebrow to acknowledge he has got back - our Collie can sulk for England.  I will then go home with Whistler and Jake will forgive Col in time to walk home.

We all know who the boss is! Summer months when it is too hot to take Jake to site is the worst, winter and autumn he is always with OH - he's trying to train him to hold the other end of the site tape measure!! the men love him, and he hates being alone with me!! I know my place.

So jealous!  I would love to bring my two to work with me, the office I work in though is full of shoes and I think the temptation would be too much for my darling cockers!

Dallie hair over all the smart business suits

it gets better :)

My dog used to come with me all the time when I just had the one (a bit more difficult to get three of them in and settled...*sigh*), and there was a great meeting I had with archetypal overpaid, under-worked, male, middle-aged stuffed shirts when the dog had evidently eaten a highly sulphurous egg. At least that's what kept wafting out from under the table. I did wonder whether any of them were going to acknowledge the retchingly awful stink, but they were all far too English and polite :)

After they went I opened the window and laughed till I was nearly sick :) could have been the egg though

My first job from school .... the Finance Director, my boss and mentor, was a puppy walker for Guide Dogs For The Blind...... he used to bring pups into work regularly... I am sure you wont be surprised to hear how much more fun raising invoices was having your toes nibbled by a pup under your desk.
There was this miserable woman who hated every one and everything. It was, sorry she really was horrid, the best thing ever when one of his pups chewed the handle of her  hand bag....

I used to work in a small office in the country and the boss was very rarely in.  I got into the habit of taking my little dog into work with me and no-one minded.  She said hello to everyone very quietly then sat under my desk until I took her for a lovely long lunchtime walk.  Then one day the boss arrived totally unexpected and what did my little bitch do?  You´ve got it - she barked furiously and refused to be quiet.  I had to put her in the car (outside my office window) until lunch time then had to dash home with her.  I also got told not to take her in again.  (I did, of course, but only when I knew the boss was out of the country. LOL)
