Hello my toy bitch has been licking her Vulva after she has urinated. She does it only when she has urinated.
I am wondering if this is normal or could it be a sign of a problem, possibly a UTI?

She seems otherwise fine in her self and is eating and drinking well.

P.s Heard puppies heart beats today 7 weeks gone

could be she has started looseing her plug alittle mine have and went to have pups 6 days early or shes just wanting to be clean ,or maybe UTI just keep eye on her! good luck xx

Hi thanks for your advice. Im just worried as I've heard if its a UTI the e.coli can cause PFS. Dont know whether to take her to the sunday vets tomorrow or if im worrying about nothing.

I've just noticed she has a little black scab on her vulva, not sure if its because of the licking after she uriantes or a saw. She was groomed the other day so could have been cut to short and a little cut developed??

Well considering she's only seven weeks i would pop her upto the vets to make sure everything is ok
