Topic Dog Boards / Health / bladder/kidney infection- help?

I think T-Bone may have this again- her bottom is dirty again plus she is drinking loads of water. She did this last time she had one...

What would cause a dog to keep getting this? I had her on pills last time which cleared her up. She does eat poo, snow could that cause it?

Just at a loss with her- thankfully I didn't run her in last week for her ear, cause now she's doing this-grrr!! Not one thing its another...

Thank you for any advice

Can I just give her cranberry juice that I buy from the store?

Would expect that infection of the bladder or kidneys would cause urinary problem but not ones of the dirty bottom sort that would normally be caused by a bowl or intestinal infection or problem. Was it defiantly a UTI last time or was it of the dirty bottom type. If the latter it is possible it is IBS although I would consider her eating habits first unless you can link it to something stressful.

Cranberry juice is one of the things I have to avoid because I take Warfarin so I think it may lead to blood thinning so until you get to the bottom of what is wrong I think I would avoid using anything she does not normally have.

More so when she dribbles urine its a lil dirty around that area- last time she wasn't very clean, drinking lots and asking to go out lots- took her to the vet and had her poked turned out to be bladder infection :-(
