I'm 24 and I think I'm just getting a wisdom tooth through, it hurts so much, taken a pain killer but it's not helping, is it normal for some one my age to get one? I just though if you hadn't had one through during teenage years you weren't getting them.

Mine came through at about that age ;) they hurt like mad :(
Clove oil rubbed on the gum is very good as a painkiller, but don't use Aspirin or Ibuprofen at the same time ;)
You may need to see a dentist to make sure there's enough room for it/them to come through, mine were really bad and it turned out that one was impacted :( Not good when you're dentist phobic :(

Gemma. Be thankful, my dear departed Dad had one come through aged 79!

Thats funny I was moaning to my 21 year old son this morning that I had pain in my gum and thought it was a wisdom tooth. He said I was too old cheeky devil . I will show him your post about you Dad ( I am abit younger than 79 !
If your tooth keeps hurting a check up at the dentist may be worth the £16.50 just to know all is well. My son had one out last month because it was doing what it should no problem with it either being taken out or afterwards so dont worry

Yes, mine came through in my late teens or early 20s, one was impacted and another was suspicious, so they took all 4 out, I always say that's why I'm so daft! :-D
Ditto 3 out one still left so im wise in certain matters only!!!

Never had the bottom two - just not there :) Still got one up top, the other was pulled out a couple of years ago :)
Daisy

I've got two on one side and none on the other - they never developed. And I've got to have one of the ones I
have got out in the next few weeks. :-(
First appearance of mine at 33....

Got all four of mine aged about eighteen, still got them all and never any problems :-)

A couple of mine have tried emerging over the last year. Can be painful at times but they've never properly come through. Hope I'm not 79 when they do come through LOL>
get it checked, my first one got an absess under it, very painfull, normal painkillers would'nt touch the sides, if there is an absess you need antibiotics, and have it taken out.
