My bitch has been spayed and I think its for the best reasons she is only 9 month old and a rescue dog she's adorable but wee's her bed frequently besides smelling its annoying any ideas on how to prevent this also does anyone know if she can be bathed she still has her stitches in place but she stinks! HELP!!!!

No, she can't have a bath until the stitches are out and the wound completely healed. Has she always wet her bed or is this only since the surgery? Can she get out of her bed or is she confined in a crate?
since we've had her she has always wet it, she isn't confined she's allowed out down stairs in our home and supervised outside so she doesn't get excited which as I'm sure you'll know is difficult with a puppy. She definately hasn't got an infection I did question this with the vet but he said he'd never heard of dogs wetting their bed unless a one off which indicated terratory I've read online a lady also has same problem with hers she didn't seem to get any answers Do you think it's ok to sponge her down ie just damp cloth

You can certainly wipe her down with a damp cloth but take care to dry her thoroughly afterwards.
I'm surprised your vet didn't do any investigations prior to spaying her as some bitches have more problems once done. Is she often wet or does she just do it in her bed?
In answer to your question, I would just wash her down with a sponge or use baby wipes to keep her fresh and clean.
Do you know any of her past history? She may have been 'taught' to bed wet by not being allowed out of her bed at all, except when told. I would go right back to basics with her, remove her bedding for now, try something different like shredded paper if possible.
My bitch has just recently been spayed and gets her stitches out on Monday and trying to keep her clean and dry in this weather is a nightmare, but I have been wiping her down with a damp cloth and drying her after very carefully with a thin towel.

When my bitch was spayed last year, she started peeing in the house soon afterwards...after a thorough investigation from the vet, it was decided she was very much a wimp and was in quite a bit of pain, she was also totally stressed out from the experience.
More pain meds and she did stop the peeing.

It is too late for your bitch now but I would strongly advise that any problems are cleared up before spaying is considered, there are any number of reasons that could cause this from training to plumbing and apart from hygiene it would be a pity if she has to have a further operation to sort a plumbing problem.
I would wipe the area with a cloth wrung out in something like Hibiscrub and may be some sort of barrier cream (baby bottom cream) to stop the skin being burned.

How long have you had her?
Your question about sponging her has been answered. ;-)
How long have you had her? She may not feel totally happy in her new home yet. I've had bitches in the past that would wet their beds due to lack of confidence. It was the only place they really felt safe in.
We need a bit more info about how long you have had her, any info on previous behaviour prior to you getting her. For instance, was she kept outside in kennels? Did her previous owners try to house train her? Could you give us any more info? I know it may not be possible as she is a rescue, but anything about her life prior to you getting her could help.

Could it be that she was sent for re homing because she is unable to control her urine flow, I have no idea, unless the vet took a sample, how you would know if she had an infection or not, UTI can't be seen.
