Anybody seen the video of a maltease puppy being thrown about by a judge? Not quite sure if it's real or not?
I'm told its from a show in spain held on 20/11/10 called "exposicion nacional de jerez de la frontera"
yep i have seen it and if it had been my dog , the judge would be picking herself up off the floor !

I just had a look as I hadn't seen it..........surely this judge should be banned! The poor puppy had no intention of going anywhere near her again, did it!!

Yep I have seen it. Judge has been named and shamed. Worryingly she looks as though she is an international judge and judges all over the world!

Wow, that's pretty harsh handling, speaks volumes for the stable temperament of the poor thing that it still stood up on the table at all and moved on the ground. Poor puppy!!!

Just had a look at this and all I can say is that if this had been any of my dogs I am afraid the judge would get the best of my tongue and be picking herself up from the floor!!!Poor little mite.
Do you have a link to it, I could not find it though our connection is playing havoc at the moment and the facebook pages keep freezing. Would like to know who the judge is as we show abroad alot, we can then avoid him / her!!!

Have just watched it...think I might have ended banned from showing if a judge did that to my dog.
Found it on youtube. Speechless really. Hope she gets banned as a judge. Mind you it is nothing compared to an afghan exhibitor last year at Kelso. The dog was intent on biting the handler, and the judge. It spun and spun and lunged at both, sat down, screamed. Judge never laid a finger on it but it still won. I thought at one point it stop itself by hanging or at least loss of air flow to it's lungs the choke was so intense it was gasping in the end.

OMG she is being praised now on FB and it says that we are only seeing part of the video and the owner agreed to her treating the pup this way as it was misbehaving!!!

that poor pup didnt want to walk back towards her :( jeez pups are supposed to be naughty little beggars at that age thats all part of the fun hepling them along with encouraging praise and them having a wail of a time, shame on that woman and the owner for allowing it :(

If the owner agreed to her doing that, as opposed to just being too shocked or too uncertain as to how to stop her, then she is as bad as that judge! :-(

well my spanish friend who knows her said it was all agreed upon, which is what i find all the most shocking because if that was me she would of needed medical attention.

I've saw it and she should be banned thats no way to judge she certainly would be picking herself off the floor if it were one of my dogs, the shocking thing is the handler never said anything and reading through the comments that she was ok with it? then she should be banned from exhibiting if she thinks thats the right way to treat a puppy! Absolutely shocking
If it had been one of mine, she wouldn't be judging for a long long time, let alone having the use of her hands...

Yep the way that poor pup just stood frozen on the table and then stops walking as soon as he realises he's back by her really upset me. I don't what maddens me more, owner, judge or the people just stood saying nothing.

Well maybe pup might not have got the fidgets if she had not been dragging her long hair across it in the first place.
Surely a judge should tie their hair back, not have dangly jewelry catching, and floaty clothing that covers the poor dogs faces while judging.

I found it on Youtube rather than fb, basically the judge was half dropping the puppy off the edge of the table and bouncing it up and down to try to get the legs placed right. Poor little mite!

I wasn't happy about that bit Lucy but its was the grabbing the neck and pulling it about that made me angry...
Lets hope the FCI deal with this and we get to know the outcome of their investigation.
> Worryingly she looks as though she is an international judge and judges all over the world!
My friend in spain told me she is a very well know highly respected judge/breeder/exhibitor..........and doing this to a pup on the table is quite common especially in yorkies...........quite shocking really, i tried to send the link to the Ourdogs & Dogworld facebook page but it wouldn't work.
I hope they pick up on it through word of mouth/posts on FB.

Water-boarding for puppies!
She should never be allowed to judge dogs again IMO.

just watched it, my god! no way i would let anyone treat my pet like that.
Even if the pup wasnt behaving perfectly its a puppy thats what they do, even adults have there moments.
I can't find it... have been looking on Youtube but can't see it...

If you read the comments on youtube, it seems the owner has commented a few times.

She's removed a couple of comments hasn't she and left one.As someone else has said it seems she agreed with the judge for it to happen to "train" it to stand still but didn't realise quite how cruel the judge was going to be.

OMG! That's outrageous, the poor little thing was frantic! and what was the handler behind her thinking to bring his dog up for more of the same treatment????

Just seen it, shocking!! how awful for that puppy. :-(

That poor puppy :( :( :(
Saw one comment from the owner or someone who was near the owner.
I suppose in circumstances like that you wouldnt really believe what was going on and if a noivice think that the judge knows best :( :( :(
Hope she is struck off, especially as it obviously inst a one off by the comments!!!
Lea :s

Sadly though although I have to say it is greatly improving, dogs aren't treated the same in every European country as they are here, so I think something like this is accepted by some. Things are changing but it does sadly take time.
