It's quite normal for bitches to lose coat about 13 weeks after the litter were born - some look absolutely dreadful, and their tails go to rats' tails, but it does come back eventually!

Absolutely normal.  We have Pom's occasionally who lose their fur fromaround their necks and look terrible.

Normal in my breed.  To get a bitch back into show coat is about 8 months.

this is why it's difficult to show a (breeding) bitch all year round in tip top conditon. If you add nearly 2 months for 2 more seasons on top of the 8 months to look decent after a litter that doesn't leave you with a big choice show wise.

Yes, my Cavalier bitch looked like a Chinese Crested under the chin and on the throat this time round, it was completely bald. Try some Yumega, I find that helps it to grow back quicker. Puppy is now 5 months old and hair is nice and thick again. Tail is still rather pathetic though....

there is a shampoo sold by groomers and its for bitches that have lost their coats after a litter. Its the royal jelly shampoo and has natural proteins in it, ive just purchased some as ive had problems with one of my pups losing tail cost, i havent used it yet but its worth a try.
