Topic Dog Boards / General / Dog Guards for estate car?
- By mygirl [gb] Date 29.11.10 15:59 UTC
Does anyone know any suppliers of the above? that are reasonably priced and i don't have to take the car to be measured up (i've barely got time to eat half the time)

Many thanks.

Barjo tend to have the main estate cars already sized up. Also if you have a look on ebay or agilitynet you'll find some very good 2nd hand ones too which are worth considering.

Great thanks Sue our old van had one but a friend made it and as we no longer show its not worth travelling all those miles to get another.

I have a tail gate with two openings and a dog guard in my car made by Barjo, could not do without it! I have two GSP's and they are happy and more importantly secure! when I am at shows etc. My car was measured when I had my tail guard and dog guard fitted.

What car/model is it for?

Most of the main companies like Guardsman, MMG, Barjo, Hamster cages etc have the measurements on file for many of the most popular dog suitable cars.  If you have a new model though you may well be the first and will have to get the car measured.  Where in the country are you?

As suejaw has already mentioned eBay is great - I recently bought a Barjo dog guard and tailgate guard for our new (old!) car for a grand total of £7.49.  The dog guard bit was 99p ! :)

Wow dogsababe thats a find and a half!! i hope i'm that lucky!! Its a fiat Marea estate i use for work at the moment i'm using cages BUT with my own dog taking up most of the room alone when its just me and him its a pain having to take all the cages out, i only use the cages for 1 clients 2 dogs so they'd be happy to share my boot.
