Hi again, sorry ive been on here asking so many questions about my girl.  Hopefully this is the last time, I hear a sigh of relief from you all lol.

As i've psoted before she maybe pregnant scan showed nothing but she has swollen nipples, slightly bigger than normal considering she won't eat properly but not as big as last time when she had 11, I'm assuming if she is she may only have 1 or 2 hiding and thats is why she isnt so big or she is having a Phantom.  The pups (if so) will be due next weds 1/12  she has calmed down now won't leave my side and she has started to produce milk.  If it is a phantom i've been told i need some tabs to dry up her milk? But reading on here they can be dangerous if pregnant? Also she is still on AB's because everytime she comes off them within 24hrs she is sick/diarohea. I've read the other "noisy tummy" post about acid stomach and the signs are so much like her symptons and was wondering whether to try Buscopan but again is this harmless if she is pregnant?
Are there any other signs i can look for if she is due to go into labour, last time we looked out for the discharge (none) drop in temp (didn't happen) panting before and looking for somewhere to have them (she just got up from the floor in the lounge went for a drink and out popped the 1st whilst drinking) thinning of hair on her belly (we had to cut it all once she had pups) producing milk(vet had to give her something to start the flow).
She really doesn't like to help me :(

Thanks again people any advice appreciated :)

Hello Orange Dog, firstly have you considered having your bitch scanned or x-rayed so you will have a better idea if she is pregnant or not? I beleive vets can now also do a blood test for pregnancy testing. I would never consider giving a bitch something to dry her milk until she is well passed her due date just incase there are any puppies. I wouldn't know about Buscopan however in any event you should get the advice of your vet first.

If she was my girl, and, as she is so close, I think I would forget the Buscopan.

You don't have long to wait now, and you already know that lots of pregnant bitches have been on antibiotics with no adverse affect on pups.

In your position I would just be ready with everything to hand.  Much better being prepared, than being caught out!  :-)

If it does turn out to be a phantom, I have to admit that I do try to avoid using Galastop if I can get milk to dry up naturally.

She was scanned at 35 days (latest) but the vet said its pointless scanning again now as in large breeds it can take as litle as 20mins from being hidden behind the ribcage to being in the birth canal?   I was just wondering whether to try buscopan as the vet wants to just leave her on AB's till we know then he'll do an endoscophy and take gut samples.  We did try the blood test but 6 of us couldnt hold her to take the bloods she was having none of it and getting stressed.  Also I don't know if it makes any difference but when she had the last litter at 35 days again there was nothing she had a scan about to 50 days to see 6 and had 11.

xray would give you definite answer, no hiding behind the ribcage for the pups :)
But if your girl gets stressed at the vets(which she probably does do reading your previous post) I think you best just waiting and seeing.
Only negative with this is that if there is only 1, the puppy might not kick off the labour and could be lost and of course cause problems :(
