I am supposed to be travelling down to Weston-Super-Mare tomorrow (Saturday) for a breed Champ show but have heard that it is going to have snow. Anyone near that can confirm this please.

I'm 10 miles south and it's just started to sleet/snow.  I'll be surprised if it settles.  I've just come in and my car says it's 2 degrees above.
You can check the current weather in Burnham (10 miles south) here.  http://www.burnham-on-sea.com/webcam/

Are you at the Sutton More leisure centre? If so it's not too far off the motorway so hopefully roads shouldn't be that bad, i was there 2 weekends ago.

I'm about 10 miles north and it's snowing heavily, and settling, BUT knowing our weather it could all be different 1hr from now!

BBC Bristol is a good travel site.  If you have a look at live jam cams on the M5 you can see the weather too (in daylight).

I'll put an update on here later tonight if the weather is bad :)

we are supposed to be going from Bristol to Ryton on Dunsmore near Coventry, so anyone Coventry way think it is going to stick?

Just watching the local news for the Somerset area and they are warning that ice is going to be a major problem, probably more than snow.

Looks like Bristol going North will be fine.  4 x 4 with knobbly tyres, should be fine.

Hi Alison

I'm in Weston, and am hoping to be at Hutton Moor for the Champ show tomorrow.

It was driving around in the snow at about 6pm, but by 7 it had stopped snowing. At the moment the roads are clear, although I suspect ice may be a problem later. I've heard there's a strong chance of fog so drive carefully!!

Regards
Tanya

Gritters have been out since late afternoon so the motorway and major roads will be fine. But do take heed of Tanya's advice re fog - we get a lot of that down here and it can be seriously dense!!!! (bit like me really lol).

Thanks again for all the info. Tanya, hope to see you tomorrow.

Very frozen roads in our village but in the distance I can see the M5 is moving.  Your route into W-S-M will be gritted so you should be ok.

Have a good day, and wear knitted knickers and warm things - it's gonna be a chilly one :)

Just a bit of snow dandruff on the grass and clear but icy roads.  Check the webcam link when it's light for the current picture.
You should be fine.  Have a good day. :) :)
