Hi Zoe, wonderful to hear that Cru'ella is doing well :-) I would used goats milk on her porridge, its got something to do with the fat globdules being more digestable.

Hi Zoe, I was told by my breeder to use goats milk only for Precious. Glad she is settling in well. Hows the housetraining going? I'm on my second week now, she's getting better little by little. Have fun with your new baby. Shirl :D

or buy the tins of milk powder. meant for pups, -lactol mixes well
Here I will ask the same question I asked Sam (who gave a very logical response for her particular situation). Why feed milk to weaned pups (and wheatabix, porridge etc) rather than a diet suitable for canines?

Hi Zoe,
Are you sure your Breeder didn't mean as replacement meal, if your puppy is a fussy eater. I know with our Newfs in the past, we have given porridge if they are not eating their normal meal. We also have given them Scambled egg and toast as another replacment meal.
Just a thought, as it seems strange to change the puppies diet if it is settling in alright and eating etc.

Protien is the building block of all life (built up of Amino Acids) You Should buy some form of Amino Acids from a helth food store i.e Holland and Barett Of the Free Form Brance chain verity.
And In capsuel form.
Then Before bed let the dog have the capsuel of if he/ she will not eat it mix it into some weak chicken stock.
Do this while your puppy is Stuill young i.e less than 18 mnts in the case of large breeds.
I breed German Shep Pups and Labs And i have considreble backing by diff Vet's practersise to say that this will give you dog the best start to life .
the suplement can also be given when older about twice a week at bed time.
This is the time when you dog will sleep and regenerate it's muscles and hair ect.....
Many food are good dry food and canned and as one reader said check the cntence and also the effect on stool formation thanks hope you dog is fit and well and continues to be so . from Rick Kirkby
