just back from the vets with my very special boy 'chester' after he had been lame, absolutely gutted he has bone cancer in his shoulder.

Nothing else to say other than i really dont think i can take much more, having lost 3 dogs already this year along with many other tragic and upsetting things happening i am truely at the end of my teather....i feel exhausted :(

For various reasons this boy is very special and letting go will be very traumatic

I am so sorry to hear your news Mandy.  You have had the most awful year.  I don't really know what to say, but just be strong and give this chap all your love while he is still with you.

So many CD's are sending positive thoughts to you both.

So sorry Mandy, do think perhaps you should also have some medical help you sound, not surprisingly, at the end of your tether.

So sorry Mandy these things tend to wear us down. Its so sad to lose them and I hope that you get some comfort. Were all with you here, though its not a lot have a hug and look after yourself as well as dear Chester.

You are one strong woman you do know that, you've been through a heck of a year, but still you're carrying on and doing your very best for your dogs.

Oh how awful. Losing Henry has been traumatic enough, I can't even begin to imagine having to deal with losing 4 in a year. *hugs*

Having read the terrible things that have happened to you, I agree that you must be a strong and special person to keep going.

I am so sorry for your sad news it really isn't easy, i was in a similar situation i lost 3 dogs within 18months (the last one 4months ago). I genuinely didn't think i could own this breed again i had lost everything my lifestyle, my hobby (showing), my bestest friend who was so special to me.
My heart goes out to you but time is a healer and i'm proud to own a special dog of the same breed again (adopted) it enriches my life no end.

What an awful awful time you are having, my heart goes out to you and my love and healing thoughts to you both.
Sometimes it is very hard to understand why things happen, but maybe just around the corner something will show you why, I am a great believer that everything happens for a reason even though we cannot see it at the time because of the pain, but maybe someone 'up there' has a special job or path for you. It doesn't help you through your pain at the moment so just take each day as it comes and enjoy your special boy and know we are all thinking of you..

just to say thank you so much to everyone for your kind messages, your support is so very kind.

I have chosen to treat chester the same way i did crystal, thats with plt tablets and if he responds well then he will stay on them for as long as he is comfortable, crystal responded amazingly and we got 4 months together and she showed no limp at all until the last week so i am praying chester responds as well as she did. i will have to take each day at a time and just be thankful for every extra minute i get with him.

He is cosied up on the sofa, eating mackrel and watching tv with me right now, so fingers crossed in a few days when the meds kick in he will feel even more comfortable.

As if it isn't enough that you have gone through other terrible tragedies.  I genuinely feel for you.  Please give your special boy a whole lot of kisses (I know you will.)  I am sending some of my strength your way.  Hang on in there Mandy.

I had just been thinking of all the millions of dog owners over the world who feel anxious whenever they see their much loved dogs somehow not quite their usual selves and 'under the weather,' and hoping that he or she will soon be back to good health and high spirits, so my heart goes out to you both, especially after the terrible time you've had already.
