Hi All, I had my girl scanned last week and the scanner said she has two puppies in the left uterine horn and 3 in her right. On her right side I have noticed something bulging against her abdomen. Its about the size of a wallnut so I was thinking it was probably a puppy. This toy breed only normally carried 2-3 so could she be showing so early because shes having more than average? Also do you think it is a puppy?

If it's not moving then I doubt that it's a pup.

My vet always says that you are more likely to be feeling poo if you are palpatating the abdomen without the correct knowledge of what you are doing/feeling!  In fact, he sometimes does too! lol.  On the other hand, I once took a large breed bitch for a check at the vets and he said she was absolutely not pregnant at 7 weeks and she just needed a poo.  2 Weeks later, I phoned him to tell him she had 7 pups through the night not a poo!!
PS  Can't believe how many times I typed poo in that paragraph!
