In December 1995 I passed the KC Good Citizen test with my Cavalier Rufus. It was the very first time I took that test. There were no levels to it then, just the one test, but later in life Rufus passed silver and gold as well after they had been introduced. Fast forward 15 years to yesterday when I found out an hour and a half before leaving that we would be doing the Bronze test at training club. Due to having puppies I hadn't been to training for a month (and hadn't done any at home, way too busy) but had an hour to practice and decided to go for it. Hence I passed the GC Bronze test for the 20th time in 15 years -with Monty, the Cavalier I got when we lost Rufus this year. He's directly descended from Rufus' mother. It felt very appropriate, the first and the twentieth dogs to be my two Blenheim Cavalier relatives. :) Onto silver and gold now as I keep telling Monty if Rufus could do it, he can too!
