What is the safest disinfectant to keep whelping box clean please? trigene, milton?  Also what is best to wash bedding in, ordinary washing powder ok? many thanks.

ive always used detol the clear 1 that you spray ...and i wash the bedding in the same i use for us :) xx

I also use the clear dettol spray as it states on back safe for babies playpens and high chairs.

I used Trigene...Pups were all fine and it smells nice and fresh. For washing vet bed I use this smells lovely also and sterilises which is an added bonus :-)

I use Virkon for wiping out the whelping box, and biological washing powder for vet bed, as it destroys urine smells.

Trigene for cleaning and when they are very young I wash the bedding in Fairy. Once they get to 6 weeks or so I change to whichever bio powder I've got in the house.

Clear Dettol spray too for the snowsilk box and Fairy for the bedding.

parvo-vircide is what I use but you have to make sure you  dry completely before puppies are placed back in the box.
I also use the cloth to wipe down door handles and add a drop to a bucket to clean my floor through the house, finish by emptying the bucket over a matt outside the front door so that people wipe thier feet on it before entering the house.
