Has anyone used symphytum from dorwest herbs?
I was thinking of trying it on one of my dogs who has pulled a muscle in her leg after falling off our wall in the back garden , the rymadyll has made her sick so I was looking for a more natural remedy and came across this.

Yes but to support an animal who had a broken bone Its common old fashioned name being knit bone

I would go for something like arnica regardless of if you chose to use a conventional treatment.  I am assuming we are reffering to a homeopathic remedy here just answeringthe question and am not starting the homeopathic/conventional thread again lol
Alternatively give dorwest a ring they are very helpful.

Did you get the newsletter from Dorwest recently?  I see they recommend the hoemeopathic remedy Symphytum 15C for a minor tendon injury.  I quote "It is prepared from Comfrey, which is renowned for its use on sprain and strain type injuries.  One pillule 3 times a day for 10 days"

Info here - including, as someone else has mentioned, reference to knitbone (Comfrey)

I haven't tried it but I'd be willing to give it a go in your circumstances although I'd probably still want a pain relief if it were necessary.

My young dog has been getting both this and Arnica for a fractured leg.As mentioned it is an homeopaphic remedy for fractured bones (comfrey or bone knit) not intended for sprains or as an analgesic or anti inflamitory.Hes had conventionally meds as well.
