Hi , Just wondering if anyone else has come across this type of thing before.
My 2 1/2 yr old male boxer has one nipple which is swollen / enlarged. He will let me touch it and it does not seem to bother him. Just i am a little concerned as the other nipples are fine , could this be some sort of infection ?

Sounds like an infection to me, unless he has been bitten? Id get it looked at by the vet just incase

thanks i will take him tomorrow , i only just noticed it as he was rolling round on the matt. We take him over the local field twice a day so i dont know if something might of bitten him there ? Natalie

My Dobermann gets this sometimes if he catches a nipple when scratching.

It is far more likely to be an infection or just the way he is but it is always wise to remember that male dogs can and do get tumours in the mammary strip in the same way a men can get breast cancer, so any change should be checked.
