Topic Dog Boards / Health / Teething?

I have had dogs for 30 years.

I have a 5 month JRT-last week for 48 hours she was very quiet-sleeping all day-however she did eat her food-then straight back to bed.

I took her to the vet on Friday and she does have sore gums and painful when vet touched her mouth. (screamed the vets down)

She gave her anti inflams/pain jabs-after 30 mins the dog was her normal happy self.

It is now Tuesday and she has slumped again.

Her jaw is overshot and there is a small jap between her lips and her tongue pops out now and again.

A pal who does Westie Rescue mentioned Lion Jaw and on reading on the net I could say the JRT does have symptoms-however one can read in to these conditions and they can fit the symptoms your dog has.

I will make another appointment today at vets.

I am concerned for her as she looks so sad

In all the years of dogs, I have not had a dog that has been like this through teething-but there is a first time for everything.
