I've just started selling items on ebay and have sold a few. Now i'm a bit confused about receiving feedback.
How long does a buyer have to give feedback? They would of received their items about a week ago now and some have placed feedback and others have not. I've not heard from any of these buyers either, so i'm taking it that they are happy with their items.
Do I make contact with the buyers to see if they are happy or just leave it?

There is an upper time limit, but it's over a month I think.  You could always contact them and check they are happy, I've forgotten to leave feedback before and have had a message from sellers to check all was ok.  I tend to just leave it though, assuming if there was a problem that they would contact me.  I got a bit addicted to selling things on ebay, be careful  :-) !!

I sell stuff on there, Last 6 months sold just on 200 items, feedback for last 6 months is 141, so quite a few missing but some tend to come in 3-4 weeks after. I think it is 60 days to leave feedback so don't give up all hope :-D

You can leave feedback up to 90 days after the transaction.  However, feedback is not compulsory so no-one has to leave it.  I've sold quite a lot over the years and I'd say about 25% of buyers have never left feedback or made any sort of contact.  Generally, if someone is unhappy, you'll hear about it.

Yep they have 90 days to leave feedback.

As others have said I find that some buyers don't leave feedback but these are generally newer members that may not realise how useful it is.  When I post my items I send a note to confirm despatch.   I advise that I have retained proof of posting and I ask them to leave feedback on safe receipt of the item.  It seems to work most of the time.

As soon as I have feedback I delete or recycle my 'paperwork'.  In the event that I hear nothing I hang onto proof of posting, recorded delivery info etc until after the 90 days has passed.  I assume that I'd hear pretty quickly if there was a problem.

Have you left feedback for them?  Some sellers do not leave feedback until the buyer has done so, and some buyers wait for seller feedback first!  I tend to tell them that I will be leaving positive feedback but that I prefer to wait for confirmation of safe delivery first - that way it means I'm not storing documentation unnecessarily and I can finalise my records.

I have never sold on ebay, but I do buy. There have been times when I have genuinely forgotten until the seller has sent a reminder. I don't mind these reminders, but some might not like them.
