Topic Dog Boards / General / Dyson Dog Grooming Tool

Dyson have come up with a dog grooming tool to attach to their vacuum cleaners.  It looks like a great idea but my two hate the hoover - one tries to fight it and one takes herself off to bed as soon as she hears it - I think I'll save my £40!

Anyone going to give it a whirl?

Wow!  I would have mixed reactions, my last dog loved to be hoovered (in this case dysoned) and one of my dogs now also loves the hoover or hairdryer but I have a golden retriever who thinks when the dyson or the hairdryer comes out it is his cue to BARK and protect the whole family :)

I am sure this will sell well though!

Mine would have a fit if I put that near them!!!!

Mine love to be hoovered (dysoned), I just use the tool that comes with the Dyson.

I wonder if George would hold still for that..... :-p

Ideal World sell one but theirs is different.  It has it's own bodywork that looks like a hoover and then the tools to add on to that.  Their theory being that your dog won't be as bothered as it's further away from the vacuum.  The dog that they used liked it.

Not going to happen here!
Not only does he hate hoovers, but my mum's old-fashioned carpet sweeper is a bit too much like a skateboard on a stick...!

Misty fights off all brooms, mops, vacs.  Definitely no hope to get her to stand still.  Foxy might but she would be extremely stressed if I tried it out on her.  In think perhaps Misty is saving Foxy from them, lol.

Oh god - it would be death to the Dyson tool by a hundred collie teeth in this house. My dogs think the hoover is something which Mum needs protecting from and, if I don't shut them away, they lunge for the hoover sending it up in the air. Once the hoover is returned to the cupboard they all strut around looking rather proud that they have managed to "see-off another hoover attack"!!!

I don't think I'd ever be forgiven by my lot! It looks eeeevil :)

There again, I know someone who regularly hoovers their BSDs, and the dogs love it!

Ditto, posted it on a breed forum, as a few people Dyson their dogs.

For those who are interested in this I know that Dyson often give discounts at Crufts, so a bit of penny saving if you can wait. Are they at DD next weekend?
