LOL
No not stupid at all.simply being careful. I think I would probably have delayed worming them if I were in your situation. You probably didn't want to put their little systems under any stress.
I'm so glad to hear they are still well.
Did your vet say if it is ok for them to go to their new homes yet? Your puppy owners must be worried as well.

Kind Regards

I have been told to hang on for another couple of days just to be doubly sure , then they can go ( obviously as long as there is no change )
My vet is still reluctant to test mine as apparently if there are no symptoms they are not so accurate ... but she did raise all the same questions that everyone on here had , such as maternal antibodies affecting test , and reliability of ELISA test , and was going to go and try and see what she could find out for me regarding these issues ... she was very helpful :-)

Hi Vikc,

Thats great that your vet was more informative for you and so nice to see a smilie at the end of your post.Hope you are feeling a bit brighter x

Whether the tests are done or not, being i'm not a vet if they decide from research that its not going to be feasible then you need to make sure that the vet has documented everything and that they are prepared to confirm in writing and in person that it never came from your household.

Think if Vikc wrote that the vet had examined all her dogs on the 25th of October and found them all healthy with no sign of any illness whatsoever. In their opinion there is not and never has been any sign of Parvo or any other disease present in these dogs.

Then ask the vet to sign it.

Just reading this post and so sorry that this has happened.
A query on the KC insurance - it's supposed to start from the moment they take the puppy home, regardless of whether or not it's been activated.  I know it doesn't help now the pup has died, but in another instance perhaps.  I now use Petplan, but previously used KC and had a problem with a puppy being poorly when he got to his new home.  Insurance hadn't been activated, but they honoured the treatment, saying that it had started as soon as they drove away from here.  They did write to me for confirmation that pup was healthy etc but very clear that the pup was covered.
Hope all turns out ok for you - what a mess that woman was in, why on earth would she want a youngster when her litter about to go to their homes?  I'd have been keen for you to hold on until they were all gone, not have one early...is she a puppy farmer?

How are the pups doing now?  Any more news on your puppy buyer?

I haven't heard anything from her now since she told me her others were unwell . My pups are all still well and I think I have decided to start letting them go to their new homes next week ( obviously providing nothing changes ! )
