Hi all
I've just had the hip scores back from two of my first litter of puppies, Megan the girl I kept has a score of A - A and 0 for elbows and her brother Tindel has B - B and 0 for elbows.  So I am really pleased at these results would have preferred A for Tindel as well but am happy with B but over the moon for Megan, my little girl!!  The two have done so well in the show ring this year and this has been the icing on the cake!!

Just one question can anyone explain the Norberg Angle for me Megan had angles of 111 and 109 and Tindel 104/104.

Many thanks.

The norberg angle refers to the degree of sub laxation in the hip joint ie the looseness of the joint. The looser the joint the more resculpturing of the ball and/or socket there will be. anything less than 100 would grade as mild HD.
Hope that helps.

Kind Regards

> sub laxation

Just looked at my post and that should have said "subluxation"

Many thanks Roscoebabe

That does make more sense to me, the first thing a French breeder asked me was what the Norberg angle was not what her grade was she was quite impressed with 111.

Thanks again.
