- By sal Date 16.04.10 20:54 UTC
i'm looking to buy a cabinet for storing rosettes does anyone know where i can buy something suitable?

Not really sure how you would display rosettes in a display cabinet but do look on Ebay. I needed a display cabinet for my dog and cat trophies and also all my ornaments, after my cats knocked them all off a shelf on the wall, and I found a beautiful one locally that I got for just £26!

Domini at Petscan (Milton Keynes) makes them, she showed me some when I visited and I thought they looked very well made and reasonably priced too.

I have 2 large flat frames  specially made for displaying rosettes, but they were rather expensive. So when they were crammed full, I bought 2 large picture frames in a charity shop and they do the job perfectly at a fraction of the cost.

I've got pinboards for mine, then I can layer them in rows to display.

Hello sal

have you taken a look at www.gdsequine.co.uk.
Its a rosette display board that looks very good.
If your rosettes are fitted with bridle clips rather ties or broach pins it maybe what you are looking for.
Good luck!

Think the above may be an advert as dog show rosettes are not fitted with a bridle clip unless the secretary makes a mistake with the order.

You are likely to get loads of rosettes if you do a number of open shows and when I used to display I had a strip of timber screwed to the wall and would pin the first one to the wood and then continue by pinning the following ones to the tails of the first so hopefully you get a red one, a best puppy or bob then if lucky a group then back to red for the next show. I only kept the reds and specials think green ones are unlucky ;-)

I hang mine on a string under the mantle-shelf, and as we had a super year a second string above the sofa.

Had such a nice lot last year that I won't let hubby take them down yet.

So have this years on a string on the hall wall.

Preceding years are bagged and boxed in the bottom of my wardrobe, destined for the loft when there isn't enough room..

Have you got a heart foundation shop, we have near here and they have heaps of good stuff, Gplan and stag. You may be able to pick up something nice for a fraction of the price?

because i do agility as well as breed showing, i hang all mine on lengths of material till the season is over and then i bag them all up and give them to the local infant school they use them in their sports days etc
