Sorry to have to shout out, 'Novice Alert'  - but can anyone give me some pointers? Our fella has now hit 6 months old so Im looking around the show schedules and am getting a bit confused (which is not proving to be difficult LoL!) I understand the concept of Champ shows and Open shows but some of our local shows are being listed as  Limited show or Members Limited show and Evening limited show!! What are they and would I be able to enter our pup? Some of them are literally on our doorstep and the practice would be good - If I knew what they were LoL!

Basically, Limit show entries are limited to those who are members of that show society. Not much more to it than that really :) You can't show champions at limit shows, or dogs that have won CCs if I remember rightly, but that won't be an issue with a pup of 6 months :)

Limit shows are smaller versions of an open show - but you generally need to be a member - although you can join with your entry.

Not sure re: the champions bit I couldn't see on a schedule I was looking at.    They usually have a smaller number of classes available to enter.
