Can anyone reccomend either of these , or not reccomend as the case may be! ;)
Need to stay in one or the other in November and want to pick the right one!

Stayed in Wetherby Days Inn, lovley rooms, no charge for the dog.
I find that many Travelodges are looking a bit tired and grubby so it's worth checking if the one you are thinking of has been refurbished. They charge £20 per dog too.
Premier Inns are generally nicer rooms, they are the same size and specification just a bit cleaner and with better TV's, and bigger bathrooms usually! The pub section is pretty good for food too and my kids prefer these to Travelodge.
It may come down to location though, as to which suits you best.

Are you taking a dog? Thinking not as you've mentioned about going to Pompey for your brothers passing out parade?
In that case out of the 2 of them i'd go for Premier Inn...
Hope you all have a lovely day :-)

Travel Lodge are ideal for a one night stop, or if you are just wanting a bed for the night while visiting family etc. Good value for a clean, but fairly basic, room with ensuite. Not the best if you like a nice breakfast in the morning as it usually comes in a box which you eat in your room :) Premier Inn are nicer/smarter and usually attached to a Brewers Fayre, Beefeater or similar. Breakfast is much better although not cheap. If you can book the £29 a room at the Premier Inn it's really good value.
They aren't very exciting, but better than sticking a pin in a directory and you know what to expect when you turn up, which is more than can be said from some B&Bs or cheap hotels :)

Thank you everyone. Looks like premier inn is the winner!! It's the one in Fareham and looks good on the pics , but think they use the same internal pics for all the locations so wanted to get some personal views.
And , nope not taking the dog this time - she's staying at home with her surrogate "aunty" ;)

You must have been lucky then Barbara - they charged me either £10 or £15 to have the dog in the room when we were at Driffield - but I agree the rooms were lovely.

I realise you are not taking a dog this time but just in case anyone ever is Premier Inns do not allow dogs in at all.
Travel Lodge are a bit short on eating facilities but OK for a one night stay with a dog.

You can get some good deals on the Best Western hotels- they are all slightly different but we've stayed in some where they don't charge for the dog and usually have a nice restaurant and bar and gardens too unlike the Travel Lodges and Premier Inn doesn't permit dogs (or at least the ones I've enquired about don't)

@ Brainless I loved the wetroom shower too!
@lel OH and elder daughter stayed at a best western with the dog for darlington Ch show this year and he said it was lovely with huge gardens - unfortunately they didn't have much time to enjoy it as they arrived late thursday and left early friday for the show then headed home.
