I think I've seen a thread on here before but can't find it.  Just wondered if anyone knew about using dogs for modelling/TV work.  I've looked at several dog modelling agencies but they all ask for a fee upfront, I know this is a big warning sign for normal model agencies, is it the same for dog agencies?

Just sent a msg to one of my friends, the other I don't have details to hand for contact..

Mine have been used for a photo shoot and I know others whos dogs have been used for tv etc.  I was contacted by an agent who was given my number by someone else in the breed.  I cant remember her name, I will check my emails when I get home see if I can find her details.

My sister saw on their website that they were looking for examples of my breed. I gave them a call and we went along for a photo shoot. Got a disc back with all the great pics that were taken. We are the featured breed in the latest edition.

We also did some filming for the Pride and Prejudice movie. I was approached at a show for that one. Spent a great couple of days on the film set.

Was it an agency that approached you?  If so, do you remember who?

I remember the ladies name was Pam and it was her that was responsible for finding all the animals required be it dog, horse, cow etc, but unfortunately I don't remember the name of her company. May be worth having a look at the credits on the end of films which contain animals, such as Pride & Prejudice etc

A-Z Animals I think is an agency.  They contacted me a few years ago for a fashion photoshoot as they wanted breeds of dogs to match the nationality of the models.

How cool Crinklecut! I once got an article in the featured breed section on American cockers with one picture of George that I'd sent them, but we didn't get the photoshoot alas!

Mine are the ones used for our breed, but when they printed it they printed the dogs as brown! 

They did print a colour correction in a later issue (they are a grey dog), but anyone getting the magazine to look up our breed sees my Jozi (champion more than 3 times over, Group placing etc) as a GSD coloured dog ;(  It is her picture used to illustrate the breed in the breed listings, and I had to ask them to correct the colour to a Representative grey, which they kindly did.

It didn't help that Mr Killick quoted the Deerhound colours (Brindle etc) in his piece on the breed to go with th pictures!!!

FozzieBear has just completed his first photoshoot, everyone adored him and thought he was wonderfully well-behaved.  Every member of the film crew had to have their picture taken with him!!!  Had a fabulous day and LOVE my boy!!

Yes, the advertising agency said they'd send them on, it was fab, really interesting!
