We were at my inlaws yesterday for supper and I brought Tiva cause I could not leave her at home with her eye and all. She turned her head and bumped her eye and I think it popped cause it started bleeding pretty bad- so I called the vet and hubby & I rushed her over around 4pm, I truley thought we were pts. They said basically the inside of her eye was coming out but rather then that for her age she is a very healthy dog, heart sounds good ect. Hubby asked what I wanted to do and all I said leave it up to me and I'd go in debt for my dogs you no me... He said its just the eye and she's still healthy and couldn't pts due to just that so we went ahead with surgery, plus he said couldn't do that to Tiva, me and the Kids and he said its Tiva. Of course they had to do blood work ect to make sure she would be ok due to age and if so the eye would be removed, if not then we had no choice. They are sending the eye away to see what caused it all so should find out about that soon to.

They removed her eye and all went well I couldn't wait any longer and called them around 7:45 and she just got out 10 min prior. They called me this morning at 7am to tell me she is doing good, a lil sore but medicated and I can call back around 2-3pm today and should be able to pick her up... I can't wait :-)

Thats a Merry Christmas to us all which we told the kids cause not sure if we will be affording x-mas gifts this year- they said fine they would rather have Sativa and so would we.... Def a lil pricey to remove her eye just under 2grand- couldn't believe it- Junior way back only cost us 5hundred- an ouch but I am sure Tiva still has a couple happy years left and glad we did this- My hubby loves me xox Like he said its only money.

Just had to tell you all cause OMG I really thought we were going to say goodbye yestrday and well I still have my Baby Girl :-) Just excited :-)

You can't put a price on love can you? I hope you have more happy times together. What wonderful children you have to be so selfless :)

So pleased for you dollface.  It's a lovely feeling to know that you aren't going to lose them after all.

In a lifetime of dogs, I have had to have an eye removed 3 times.  Have a one eyed dog at the moment.  She will do just fine.  :-)

We finally picked her up at 2:30pm and brought her home- She doesn't get her sticthes out till the 25th so will have to wear the Elizabethan collar till then- poor girl :-( She looks so sorry for herself, atleast she is all doped up she has a pain patch on which we remove on the 14th and also on antibiotics for 14 days twice a day.

People are going to start wondering whats wrong with our dogs, now we have 2 one eyed bostons-hopefully T-bone doesn't follow  Waiting to hear back about her eye that was removed because they sent it off to be tested.

All in all am glad she is still here with us xox
