Very difficult to understand your post!

Have you actually paid a stud fee?  Have you got a signed stud agreement saying that XX dog mated your bitch on certain dates so you are able to register them?

If her friend is interested in purchasing a puppy, the studs owner should put them in contact with you - which is normal practice, the majority of studs owners work with the bitches owner in finding suitable new homes for the puppies.

I'm sure you'll get more advice from more experienced people soon.

I would ask the studs owner to sign her part of the litter registration form -

http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/download/375/form1.pdf -  if she refuses I would take it up with the KC or you will have trouble registering the litter.  Tell her you are prepared to have DNA tests done to prove parentage.

Good Luck!

No i wouldn't just let her have a pup, you paid a stud fee so that's the end of that part.

If she wants a pup for her or yourself, i would charge them for it.  You could maybe give a slightly reduced fee to her but not silly prices.  State you vet anyone else like you would Jo Blogs turning up.  Are you sure you didn't have a misunderstanding, which can happen.  If not i think she thought you are a soft touch and can tell you anything.  she should also be more understanding as you only have three pups now and it could be due to the genetics on her side (who knows).  is she going to share vets bills.

Hope it all works out amicably for you.  Maybe have a chat to clear the air.

exactly white lilly they have no right to the pups... did she write out a receipt or anything? if so and it is signed by them (this is what i do with all people using my male) stating the name of the bitch and my male

Eddieluck

Did the stud dog owner sign the KC Litter Registration document at the time of mating?  If not, I think that you should register YOUR puppies online.  If they dispute, I would rather pay for DNA testing than let someone screw me.

They are not the stud dog owners puppies to sell.  I can't believe that a so called friend asked what they would get out of it!  If any dispute causes you to lose a friend, it doesn't sound to me that this is someone that I would want as a friend.  You say that you paid the stud fee first time around.  Then a small fee on return.  Which most people would have refused.

You ask for suggestions.  If it was me, there would be no puppy available, I wouldn't even want to find out who the so called friend is that wants one.  And there would definitely NOT be any return visit to view the litter - whether the stud owner takes umbrage or not.  You owe them nothing.  And, if she disputed that I would ask to see the proof of a promise that they are to have a pup.  They would not get any pup out of me, at any price.

i always use a stud contract and then everyone knows exactly where they stand , even to friends! but after being paid a fee , the stud owners should'nt expect anything  else from you
